TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran handball team booked an early main round ticket after defeating Senegal 39:29 in the 2022 IHF Women's Youth Championship on Sunday.

Iran's Fatemeh Merikh was chosen as the best player of the match.
Iran had become the only team to hit the 40-goal mark on Saturday, beating the Uzbeks 47:31.
The Iranian team is scheduled to play host North Macedonia in Group B on Tuesday.
The championship started on July 30 and will run until August 10 in North Macedonia under the aegis of the International Handball Federation (IHF).
