JAKARTA, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Host Indonesia lost to Morocco 3-1 in Group A of the U-17 FIFA World Cup on Thursday.
Held in the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in East Java province, the game saw Indonesia manage a total of 10 shots, compared to Morocco's 28. With two draws and one loss, Indonesia currently ranks third in the group.
In the other Group A match, one goal during the second half helped Panama earn a 1-1 draw with Ecuador in the Manahan Stadium in Central Java.
Morocco is the leader of the group with six points, while Ecuador ranks second with five points.
Meanwhile, in Group B matches, Canada lost to Mali 5-1, while Uzbekistan surprisingly drew against Spain 2-2. Spain now leads the group, while Mali ranks second.
The group stage of the tournament will run through Saturday.
