(251229) -- BANGUI, Dec. 29, 2025 (Xinhua) -- A voter casts her ballot at a polling station during Central African Republic's general elections in Bangui, Central African Republic, on Dec. 28, 2025. Voting for the presidential, legislative, regional and municipal elections began early Sunday in the Central African Republic.

Seven candidates are vying for the presidency, including incumbent President Faustin-Archange Touadera, who has been in power since 2016 and is seeking a third term. His main opponents are Anicet-Georges Dologuele and Henri-Marie Dondra, both former prime ministers. (Str/Xinhua)
