Louis Oosthuizen withdrew from Sunday's final round of LIV Golf Andalucia after sustaining a back injury.
Oosthuizen, who captains Southern Guards GC, confirmed the news on social media. The 43-year-old South African also announced Australia's Wade Ormsby as his replacement for the tournament in Valderrama, Spain.
Oosthuizen was 6-over-par entering the final round at the challenging Real Club Valderrama course.
He won the 2010 Open Championship and has finished as a runner-up at least once in all four major championships.
